Responsibilities

MV Transportation is looking to add multipleReservationistto our growing team!

What does a Reservationist do?

As this is a customer-focused role, you will be taking calls in both English & Spanish from our eligible passenger base in El Paso that are requesting rides, collecting the trip information to include pick up time and date, and adding to the Driver's schedule for the day.

These are entry level, full-time positions that start at $11/hour.

Schedules available:

    Sunday - Wednesday, 6am - 5pm (10-hour shift, 3 days off)
  1. Sunday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm (8 hour shift, 2 days off)
  2. Monday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 6am - 5pm (10 hour shift, 3 days off)

All shifts have one hour lunches and NO nights required.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and confirm passenger calls collecting all necessary trip information for the permissible time period.
  • Provide system information for current and new passengers as well as for potential passengers on accessing the transportation service and using it effectively.
  • Complete data entry of passenger file information and for specific trip requests, negotiating requested times where necessary or appropriate.
  • Provide feedback to passengers in the way of follow-up calls as a course of duty or as required by schedule changes.
  • Communicate passenger cancellations in a timely manner to scheduling, dispatch, or vehicle operations personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and updated passenger records in customer database, making all necessary changes in status, client contact information, fare/rider type or other important field entries.
  • Communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling or passenger issues.
  • Ability to multitask in a safe manner is a must

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we ask that you possess the following skills:

  • Strong computer & customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data entry experience and general knowledge of windows-based computer system and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills in both English and Spanish due to community needs.
  • Able to use multi-line phone systems and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions while possessing excellent decision-making skills.
  • Telephone speaking and/or call center experience is strongly desired.
  • MUST be flexible to work weekends and holidays if scheduled
