Position Overview: As a Clinician I, you will work directly with individuals overcoming substance dependence disorders in our Therapeutic Community (TC). You will provide individual and group treatment, create and manage treatment plans, and collaborate with professionals to support recovery and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments to identify individual needs for substance use and mental health services.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment and intervention plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling; lead educational and therapeutic sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Foster client accountability while promoting personal insight and change.
  • Attend clinical and departmental meetings; represent the Therapeutic Community.
  • Transport clients to community meetings and appointments.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Addiction Counseling, or related Human Services field.
  • Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the bachelor's level (e.g., LAC - Licensed Addiction Counselor).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Addiction Counseling, Human Services, or related field.
  • Master's level license (e.g., LMAC, LMFT, LMSW, LCP, LPC) through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
  • One year of direct counseling experience.

Work Conditions:

  • On-call availability, shift work, and travel within Johnson County may be required.
  • Working in various environments while providing community-based services.
