At Forvis Mazars you will be exposed to corporate, international, state & local, M&A, and partnership tax as you: Conduct in-depth research on tax laws, regulations, IRS guidance, and precedent cases. Analyze complex tax issues and assist in drafting well-reasoned opinions/memoranda for clients. Work with senior Forvis Mazars tax professionals on tax planning strategies to optimize our client's financial positions. Review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for tax implications. Work closely with other tax professionals, accountants, and professionals within the firm to provide an Unmatched Client Experience. Attend client status calls and meetings and provide supporting data and findings for the leadership team. Liaise with Forvis Mazars's subject matter experts. Assist senior Forvis Mazars tax professionals in their collaboration with clients to understand their goals. Read through prospective client's SEC filings and prepare summary of the company's tax profile. Assist in consultations with clients to discuss their tax concerns and assist in providing advice. Communicate complex tax concepts in an understandable and client-friendly manner. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure tax advice is current and accurate. Pursue certified professional education opportunities and professional certifications. Minimum Qualifications* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. A demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
