Job Summary:
Do you have a passion for learning new things? Are you comfortable in an academic environment? The University of Wisconsin is seeking sign language interpreters to join our part-time hourly team in the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) Services Program. As a team member, you will interpret for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff, program participants, and campus visitors. Imagine interpreting for classes, training sessions, conferences, nationally and internationally recognized guest speakers, formal platform events, and webinars. Responsibilities: Provides American Sign Language or Signed English interpretation services for deaf and hearing campus community members for advanced, complex, or varied interactions at the institution, including but not limited to academic situations, employment meetings, and institutional events.

Education: Preferred Qualifications: Required Work Schedule: Schedules and the number of hours requested to work vary per semester depending on scheduling needs for both recurring and one-time events. Most requests are daytime/weekday, and there are occasional evening and weekend needs. Work Type: This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
