Position Summary
Join our team as a Material Planning Manager and be part of a company that values innovation,teamwork, and excellence in logistics management. Your contributions will directly impact ourability to deliver exceptional service to our customers while optimizing operational efficiencyand profitability. We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planning Manager to oversee and manage ourcompany's inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in materialplanning, inventory optimization, a strong analytical mindset, and exceptional leadershipabilities. The Material Planning Manager role is a full time, on-site position.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Establish Antora's Material Planning competency from the ground up, including:
- Developing comprehensive shortage reporting tools
- Standardizing shortage analysis processes to ensure consistency across all buyers
- Consolidating shortage risk assessments from multiple buyers into a unified view
- Leading regular cross-functional meetings with Procurement to update Clear-To-
Build reports. - Leading regular cross-functional meetings with Production, NPI and Warehouse
teams to communicate material risk, collect stakeholder feedback and align on how to minimize the impact of potential material shortages - Developing and implementing structured supplier follow-up and escalation
processes - Creating reports and process controls to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of MRP parameters
- Hire and manage and lead a team of planner/buyers.
- Inventory Management/Optimization:
- Develop and implement a safety stock policy that optimizes inventory turnover
while maintaining high levels of material availability - Monitor and forecast inventory needs based on production plans, sales trends and
seasonal fluctuations in transit times. - Collaborate with sales and finance teams to optimize inventory turnover and
minimize holding costs.
- Analytics:
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement,
obsolescence, and excess inventory. - Implement inventory management software and tools to streamline operations.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on inventory status, trends, and KPIs for
senior management.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, ora related field. (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Material Planning using MRP with at least 2 years in asupervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management best practices, procedures, and softwaresystems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in MRP and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Additional Qualifications Desired
- Adaptability: Being able to adjust plans quickly in response to changing circumstances,such as supplier delays, transportation issues, or unexpected demand fluctuations.
- Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholdersto secure favorable terms and resolve disputes.
- Global Perspective: Understanding international logistics, including customsregulations, international shipping options, and cultural considerations when workingwith global partners.
- Inventory Control Experience: Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
Work Location: Onsite - San Jose, CA Salary Range: $163,000 USD - $190,000 USD Salary Basis: Annual Please note that the salary range listed above reflects Antora Energy's estimated pay for this position. The actual salary offered will be within the posted range and determined based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experiences, credentials and expertise, as they pertain to the position's requirements.
