Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$18.52 to $20.37 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.Performs experienced technical work coordinating and implementing ongoing, recurring, and special computer projects, training, and programs required by the Public Works Department.Work involves maintaining operations databases, using an electronic work management system, preparing technical reports, performing data entry with a high level of accuracy, analyzing and validating large datasets, and preparing graphs and charts, workflow maps, and presentations.

REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience using personal computers, including Adobe Pro, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other similar software, which includes one (1) year of office experience in a Public Works or other similar public sector administrative environment; OR two (2) years of progressively responsible experience using personal computers, including Adobe Pro, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other similar software PLUS one (1) year of experience in a Public Works or other similar public sector administrative environment. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience with electronic work management systems is preferred. Experience managing access control and badging databases is preferred. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) database management is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.Must be able to successfully pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check administered by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO).In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
