Working under the general supervision of Principal Investigator (or Research Manager), and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, conducts a variety of routine experiments where methodologies are clearly established. Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using basic statistics. May perform literature searches under direction of supervisor.

1. Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine experiments following established methodologies. These may include genotyping using PCR and/or gel electrophoresis, Western blots, RT-PCR, and immunofluorescence.
2. Prepares and maintains tissue cultures.
3. Assist with zebrafish colony management, breeding, and embryo injections.
4. Record data, summarizes, and analyzes results using basic statistics.
5. Prepares laboratory reagents, chemicals, instruments, and equipment.
6. Maintains supplies inventory in accordance with departmental procedures.
7. Discusses progress of work regularly with supervisor.
8. All other duties, as assigned.

* B.S. in a biological/physical science required.
* New graduate with relevant course or project work.

* Good organizational skills, detail oriented.
* Sound degree of computer literacy.
* Ability to methodically record data and to analyze data using basic statistics.
* Ability to perform a variety of routine tests and prioritize work.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
