Warehouse Material Specialist

Job Title:Warehouse Material Specialist

Location:Lockport, LA

Position Overview: The Warehouse Material Specialist isresponsible to locate and move materials and parts from warehouse to storage areas and between work areas of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and Unloading:Load and unload materials from trucks and docked marine vessels.
• Receiving and Inspection:Receive, uncrate, and inspect materials for quality and accuracy.
• Transaction Documentation:Handle, resolve, and ensure completion of warehouse transaction documentation.
• Inventory Management:Perform physical inventory counts and ensure stock accuracy.
• Customer Assistance:Assist Material Control customers in the warehouse and throughout the facility.
• Facility Maintenance:Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and Material Control areas.

Experience:

• Minimum of six (6) months of previous warehouse experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chauffeur's license.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Carpentry skills.
