Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position receives, stores and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, tooling and complies stock records in support of the aircraft by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:



  1. Orders, distributes, and maintains an inventory of adequate parts, supplies and equipment, to be available for distribution to all team members in support of mission requirements, keeping detailed records of each item received and issued.
  2. Counts, sorts, and weighs incoming parts, supplies and equipment to verify precise receipt of items as per itemized purchase orders and invoices.
  3. Ensures the efficient and effective repair of aircraft components, assemblies and other mission-support equipment and tolls by utilizing repair orders or other acceptable repair procedures. This position will also assist in monitoring calibration for all test and support equipment.
  4. Conducts initial inspection of incoming items to verify conformance to government and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is responsible for properly preparing, packing, labeling, and processing parts, tools or equipment for shipping.
  5. Proficient in operation of shipping computer software program to ensure accurate and precise labeling of outgoing shipments.
  6. Conducts routine, sampling inspections of existing stock to verify compliance to government and FAA regulations, ensuring that all items past their expiration date or otherwise deemed unserviceable are removed from stock and replaced with new stock.
  7. Stores all parts, supplies and equipment in their assigned locations according to identifying information such as style, size, bend location or type of material.
  8. Ensures all Hazardous Material (HazMat) items are properly stored as per Federal, local and airport procedures and assists with monitoring HazMat. Ensures Safety Data Sheets books are updated.
  9. Ensures acceptable or required levels of supply mission readiness by conducting regularly scheduled physical inventories of all stored parts, equipment, and supplies.
  10. Generates reports and updates Management Information System on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments as well as guaranteeing proper control of newly received equipment or special tool by assigning and attaching identification tags or markings.
  11. Tracks all assigned inventory, equipment and tools in Management Information system depicting applicable information and location pertaining to each item listed.
  12. Works counter window in a timely manner as to not impede workflow.
  13. Maintains all calibrated tooling with monthly calibration reports.
  14. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum of two to three years of proven materials, supply, storage, and inventory control experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read and understand general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to question s from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Word processing, Spreadsheets, internet software, e-mail, database software, inventory software, order processing software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

This position requires a current driver's license.

Rate of pay: $35.00 per hour
