The CIDER Sponsored Research Lead is the lead staff member responsible for facilitating CIDER core faculty and STARS Fellows' successful sponsored research programs. This includes
The Sponsored Research Lead will routinely represent Cornell in meetings and negotiations with external partners and funders. The position may entail research support to any of a broad portfolio of research projects involving one or more CIDER core faculty from across the four Colleges. This staff member will also participate in CIDER training programs for pre-docs and STARS Fellows and may help with research workshops, especially those related to sponsored projects. This is initially a 75% effort (30 hrs./wk.) appointment. As CIDER's revenue stream grows over time, or as faculty with successful large grants build time for this position into their award budgets directly, we expect the role to expand to 100% time.
