Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Cameron School of Business invites applications for a Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor in Information Systems to begin August 2025. This is a non-tenure track position serving an initial term through May 2026 with the option to renew for one additional year based on need and satisfactory performance evaluation.
The anticipated regular teaching load in the Cameron School of Business is five sections combined in the fall and spring semesters. All faculty members are expected to engage in service activities on campus, as well as in academic and professional outreach, as outlined in the
CSB and
UNCW workload policies. Compensation is commensurate with experience. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
- A Ph.D. degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school or equivalent institution. *NOTE: Applicants with earned degrees will be given preference. ABD's will be considered, however, degree must be conferred by August 1, 2025 to be eligible for employment.
- Ability and willingness to teach introduction to information systems and at least one of the following areas (in order of preference):
- Network and system administration
- IT strategy and management
- Software development.
- A record of research that is related to the primary areas of teaching.

- Ability and willingness to engage with the campus community, including students, faculty, and university administration.

- Ability and willingness to teach in more than one of the areas included in the Minimum Education and Experience Requirements listed above.

The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems supports the Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, and Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. At the graduate level, the School supports the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems, Master of Science in Business Analytics, and Master of Science in Supply Chain Management |
