Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per year

1st Shift Hours

Production Supervisor:

The Production Supervisor directs the production team to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety, and productivity. This individual must set production performance standards, align the organization to achieve standards, supervise a specific shift and follow all department and company policies and procedures.

Principle Responsibilities:



  • Provides front-line supervision for production employees.
  • Knowledge of processes, equipment, and system capability to set challenging individual and facility standards within the plant.
  • Achieve performance standards for safety, line utilization, and quality.
  • Tracks key performance indicators/costs, anticipating and correcting trends that would compromise the achievement of financial targets.
  • Oversees and assures facility equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel.
  • Ensures employee compliance with all Health, Safety, FDA, and GMP regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
  • Participates in hiring and disciplinary processes, and performs employee performance reviews and training sessions.
  • Verifies all food safety and quality checks performed during the shift.



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • Directly responsible for supervising hourly and salaried employees.


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:



  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Demonstrated computer skills: Microsoft Office
  • Experience in consumer-packaged products or related industry helpful.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.



Educational Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
