Job Description

The Corp Manager - Shopper Marketing NRS Large Store is responsible for leading Shopper Marketing programs for national retail accounts within large store channels led by Coca-Cola UNITED, working closely with NRS Directors, customers, brand partners, region, and corporate marketing teams.

What your day will look like:
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Understands relevant channel, category, and consumer behavior trends that impact beverage decision making to help develop annual Large Store NRS Customer Channel Plans based on UNITED priorities and/or parent company initiatives (Wal-Mart, Kroger, Publix, SEG, Target, Food Lion, Sam's, Costco).
  • Expert in understanding each customer's business model, objectives, and marketing/media platforms
  • Understanding of bottler economics and ability to analyze business results in margin minder and/or Power BI reports
  • Understanding of UNITED's strategic plan, financials, annual business plan priorities, and Big Bets
  • Leverages relevant Brand partnerships and Marketing Assets to build promotions or incentives that drive display activity, engage with consumers, and increase volume and revenue
  • Works closely with National Retail Sales (NRS) Directors and their analysts, RGM, and Franchise to bring solution-based Shopper Marketing programming to key customers
  • Analyzes business results and provides recommendations for annual NRS Shopper Marketing initiatives and expenditures, working closely with the Creative Activation Manager to project and track spend
  • Creates and maintains planned NRS Shopper Marketing information and front-line selling materials for customer meetings, planning meetings, RU Ready calls, PicOS, and routine region marketing meetings
  • Directs and manages project implementation from beginning to end
  • Spends time in the trade with NRS Directors and Region Sales Teams
  • Stays closely linked with National Shopper Marketing teams to leverage tools already available and/or seek support
  • Explores and presents merchandising solutions for hypers and large store customers that can be commercialized across UNITED including racks, barrels, coolers display units, coupons, and messaging
  • Works closely with Region Marketing teams to understand NRS customer specific opportunities and identify selling tools needed
  • Works closely with RGM to conduct post analysis on all Shopper Marketing programs providing insights and recommendations for future campaigns
  • Understanding of ecommerce and digital media
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

  • Strategic thinking skills along with problem-solving and solid analytical skills
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Experience calling on customers
  • Experience with consumer/shopper insights and trends
  • Experience with annual business and customer planning
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel) required
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 7 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Shopper Marketing digital media experience required
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
