Job Description

The Planner Maintenance is responsible for planning the schedule of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities, aligning resources (parts, manpower, and resource availability) to insure accurate and timely repair.

What your day will look like:
  • Analyzes, researches, develops, and updates current Preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance requirements to optimize maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectiveness
  • Plans the schedule of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities, aligning resources (parts, manpower, and resource availability) to insure accurate and timely repair
  • Reviews manufacturers service manuals, established usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to define optimum frequency of preventive maintenance
  • Studies production and operations schedules and confers with maintenance staff for defining optimal timing of planned maintenance
  • Estimates cost of personnel, parts, and supplies to be used for scheduled maintenance
  • Maintains plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system to insure accurate recording of maintenance activity
  • Assists with the planning and coordination of capital projects in conjunction with the principle engineer or project manager
  • Participates in parts room inventory processes and reconciliation
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays or flexible schedule as required
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3 to 5 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SAP-PM, or similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system experience is preferred
  • Frequent sitting, typing, keying, walking, and exposure to noise
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical, adaptability, customer service, planning, organizing, and project management skills
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
