We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with experience in distributed computing, networking, and high-performance AI infrastructure. In this role, you will develop and scale compute and network solutions to support mission-critical AI workloads and tackle complex engineering challenges that shape the future of AI at Microsoft. ResponsibilitiesArchitect and Implement: Lead the design and implementation of high-performance computing and networking solutions for large-scale AI models. Optimize Infrastructure: Enhance GPU infrastructure to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with AI researchers, cloud engineers, and product teams to deliver comprehensive AI infrastructure solutions. Develop Automation Systems: Create automation and monitoring systems to boost fleet reliability and operational efficiency. Ensure Performance: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in AI workloads, ensuring low-latency, high-throughput performance. Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends in AI infrastructure, driving technical strategy and innovation. Mentor Team Members: Guide and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
