Reporting to the Director of Leadership Giving, the Development Officer will manage a portfolio of donors, focusing on qualifying, engaging, and soliciting for ongoing annual support. As a key member of a dynamic team, this role will collaborate within the Leadership and Annual Giving Team and across the broader organization, including Research, Information Services and Events. While the primary focus will be on securing unrestricted support for the Brigham Fund, the Development Officer will also have the opportunity to work on gifts supporting all areas and priorities across the hospital.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator-through email, virtually and in person-curious, detail-oriented, driven and a self-starter with a deep desire to excel in healthcare philanthropy. Brigham and Women's Hospital is a large and complex organization, a qualified candidate should be able to collaborate with organizational leadership, development staff, faculty, and physicians to further a culture of care, community, and philanthropy.
