Clinical Nurse Manager Edmonds, (Aurora House) WA Compass Health is currently looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager for our Aurora House in Edmonds! What you will be performing The Clinical Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative management of the facility, implements program services, and directs the supervision and provision of service to clients. This position is responsible for collaborating and coordinating with community agencies and organizations to ensure positive working relationships for the benefit of adults served, as well as providing crisis support and intervention services to adults served within the program. This position is responsible for 24/7 on-call availability.
- Enforces all applicable building, health, fire and safety standards within the facility.
- Ensures that all assessments and treatment planning comply with and follows agency guidelines.
- Ensures performance and clinical standards are met by clinical staff.
- Provides necessary coverage, crisis intervention, and consultation to staff, including coverage for Office Manager as needed.
- May carry a clinical caseload during periods of staff vacancies and/or under special circumstances.
- Ensures coordination of services with health plans, public sector systems, hospitals, community organizations, family members, courts, law enforcement, and other related entities as needed.
- Follows mandated reporting protocols.
- Manages payroll for all facility staff.
- Assists the Director with development and monitoring budget, policy and procedures while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Hires, supervises, and evaluates staff in coordination with the Director and PSS.
- Assists the Director to ensure implementation and improvement based on feedback related to client satisfaction and outcome data and other quality improvement indicators.
- Develops an individual staff training plan for new hires, supervises staff, and conducts an individual staff evaluation at least annually as assigned.
- Remains compliant with required trainings and certifications and ensures staff compliance as well.
- Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
- Behaves in an ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy, state law, and licensing entities if applicable.
- Understands and practices safekeeping of client protected health information per Compass Health's HIPAA and other agency policies and procedures.
- Ensures that program services are accessible in a non-discriminatory manner and at times and locations which facilitate utilization of services.
- Demonstrates respect for diversity and a commitment to developing multicultural competency and sensitivity.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains 24/7 on-call availability, provides after-hours support, and ability to travel as needed.
- Oversees all aspects of the RTF admission process and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and workflows related to the admission process.
- Completes all admission documents and ensures timely completion of Mental Health Assessment.
- Works collaboratively with the Office Manager regarding admission denials and eligibility.
- Facilitates weekly referral meetings with the Managed Care Organizations (MCO's)
- Supports internal and contract staff in proper service authorization.
- Accurately maintains authorization service codes and provider information in the electronic health care record.
- Assists with discharge tasks including referral and coordination with community programs/providers to ensure a smooth transition of care.
What you will be carrying along
- Current Washington State RN license required; BSN preferred.
- Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC.
- 3 years of related experience in a psychiatric setting, experience in a residential or inpatient behavioral treatment facility preferred.
- 2 years of supervisor/management experience.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License including vehicle and appropriate insurance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee will be working in a residential treatment environment, will provide outreach to community settings as needed, and must be able to physically participate in managing aggressive behavior from patients. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
