Summary/ Objective:

Performs and directs a variety of tasks in support of warehousing and delivery functions which include but are not limited to: shipping, receiving, and wire cutting. These activities promote the timely movement of material and effective functioning of the warehouse and deliveries

Essential Functions:



  • Ensure the proper staffing of your area of responsibility.
  • Answer communication regarding your area within 24 hours
  • Verify the work done in your area of responsibility is performed correctly in accordance with existing work instructions.
  • Review the work instructions under your responsibility yearly.
  • Assist in the work performed in your territory
  • Assist the Manager in reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action for employees in your area of responsibility which includes delivery drivers and warehouse associates
  • Ensuring timely and accurate customer deliveries
  • Ensuring pulling and inventory accuracy
  • Accurate material merges between local warehouse and Harrisburg cross dock
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and cycle count goals
  • Delivery Truck Maintenance
  • Operate a 26 FT box truck as a backup.
  • Assure trucks are properly maintained, cleaned and meeting all DOT criteria


Competencies:



  • Hands-on dedication to training team members and championing new ideas
  • Efficient supervisory techniques and skills
  • A strong background in warehouse operations including, shipping, receiving, delivery and inventory control
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft office, Warehouse Management Systems and business system (Solar).
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.


Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position is a supervisory role and the following roles report directly to the Driver and Warehouse Coordinator:

    • Warehouse Associates
    • Delivery Driver




Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in warehouse environment. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are present in the warehouse. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

  • Work well with other departments and within a team environment


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have:



  • the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weight up to 50lbs
  • Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Clearances and Certifications:



  • Various clearances will be required
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Forklift certified or the ability to become Forklift Certified is required
  • Able to obtain a DOT Medical Certification, if needed


Education and Experience:



  • 1+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience (required)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
