Lunder 8 is seeking a Patient Care Assistant I (PCA), with Day and Night availability, to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Neurology is a thirty-two-bed adult inpatient neuroscience unit that cares for a diverse patient population, including those with neuro-medical and neurosurgical conditions. Our nursing staff is highly respected for their clinical expertise and compassionate care for patients with neuro-oncology and epilepsy-monitored needs. Only applicants seeking full-time 36-40 hours employment will be strongly considered. What are we looking for? Assisting the healthcare team, the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the mentorship of an RN. PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner. Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff and providers. Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and superior organizational skills. Ability to lift and transport patients, using the appropriate physical technique, in a safe manner for the patient and self. Schedule Days (7am-7pm) and Nights (7pm-7am) Mandatory Weekend and holidays rotating shifts. 3x 12-hours shifts per week What do we have to offer?
