Your Opportunity + Impact

The Environmental Technician will assist Environmental Specialists and Technical Managers in applying the fundamental principles of environmental sciences to inspection, investigation, and monitoring activities. This position will work as a member of a team to help identify and solve environmental issues. The Environmental Technician will help to ensure the success of clients & projects and will closely interact with clients and fellow team members to ensure total client satisfaction is obtained while meeting financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathers necessary data and recommends action plan to mitigate identified issues.

  • Completes wetland and stream delineations for projects as needed.

  • Ensures both client and in-house quality assurance & quality control processes are followed.

  • Assists in preparation and submissions of environmental permitting for assigned projects.

  • Completes environmental site assessments, ecological surveys, and functional analyses as directed.

  • Conducts wetland monitoring and prepares wetland mitigation plans as directed.

  • Assists in the coordination with state and federal agencies.

  • Prepares and/ or reviews reports, calculations, technical papers, and presentations as directed.

  • Maintains professional certifications in fields of expertise as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field of study; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience: Zero (0) to three (3) years job-related experience.

  • Licensure: Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) preferred, or ability & desire to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be able to interact with clients, vendors, co-workers, regulatory agencies, and other external sources in a professional manner. Must demonstrate effective leadership skills and be a strong team player. Knowledge and experience of permitting and regulatory requirements relative in OH, PA, NY, or WV. Wetland delineation and ArcGIS experience a plus.
