Summary: The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing the branch operations of assigned branches. The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that a high level of work quality is being maintained throughout the assigned branches to achieve the highest standards of operational excellence. Along with the Regional Sales Manager, the Regional Operations Manager will ensure that the branches are following Retail Operations policies and procedures and assist in holding the branch teams accountable for following all policies and procedures. The Regional Operations Manager will be the point of contact for any exceptions needed from standard document procedures and offer phone and in-branch support for all branch associates within the branches they support. This role requires strong relationship skills, effective communication/presentation abilities and strong operational performance in addition to maximizing the operational performance of each branch team to enrich lives for an even better tomorrow. Essential Duties:
- Develop and deliver regular and consistent operational coaching to all new and existing associates as determined within the assigned branches.
- Provide in-branch operational training and development of new Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers in the assigned branches.
- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers for the assigned branches to understand needs and branch priorities. Create a regular meeting cadence to review progress and discuss any upcoming change to ensure alignment.
- Develop and maintain a solid understanding of retail banking policies, practices and standard operational procedures and stay current as changes occur.
- Ensure bank policies and standard operational procedures are consistently and uniformly applied throughout the assigned branches.
- Prepare and distribute monthly operations communication to the assigned branches using standard documented procedures or reinforcing prior communications for reminder.
- Provide Regional level approval for exceptions to standards and other processes as needed; including, but not limited to NSFs, large wire and phone wire approvals, fee waivers, and fee reversals.
- Review operational policies and procedures as needed and bring recommended changes to Retail Operations.
- Assist the Regional Sales Managers in the preparation of Branch Manager meetings and discuss any operational topics. Engage Retail Operations for content to support operational items.
- Develop a strong relationship with Retail Operations team to deliver exceptional operational synergy across all branches.
- Support all operational changes and ensure understanding and implementation occurs within the assigned branches and provide support to help integrate the changes.
- Provide operational branch support of items/issues identified by Fraud Operations and FIU within assigned locations
- Complete Regional Audits of all assigned branches and hold a meeting over any audit findings with branch management; share any critical finding with Regional Sales Manager.
- Complete Mock Audits as needed within the assigned branches to ensure adequate operational controls are in place as needed or whenever there is a managerial change within a branch.
- Prepare and present responses to Audit department findings to the Audit Department for board meetings.
- Ensure completion of annual and new/transfer associate procedure reviews.
- Provide project/new initiative support for Retail Operations as assigned.
- Work with Regional AA's to review monthly Branch Internal Control Reports (BICR) and coach branch teams to continued operational success.
- In the unfortunate event of a branch robbery, be onsite as quickly as possible to provide support and count down the branch to verify losses.
- Assist in opening new branches, including assistance with various systems testing (teller, new accounts, cash advance, Card@Once), branch funding, regulatory postings, and general organization to ensure successful opening.
- Assist in the closing of existing branches, including assistance with record retention, final shipment, and any additional operational items to ensure successful closure.
- Ensure operational policies and procedures complement an exceptional client experience.
- Conduct Cash Level reviews of assigned locations and work with branches on maintaining proper limits.
- Review teller and account accuracy reports with associates to increase awareness and establish accountability.
- Engage in personal development activities such as Workday Learning courses and internal/external training, seminars and trade related publications to assist in career growth and development.
- Be an ambassador for the Bank; promote the Bank by attending volunteer events, participating on teams and special projects as needed.
- Lead and motivate based on Centier's Mission, Essentials of Excellence, and Values.
- Use independent judgement and safe and sound decision making to limit risk to both clients and the bank.

Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of PC (MS Windows and Office products).

- Ability to manage multiple bank initiatives simultaneously.

- Availability to work evenings, some weekends and flexibility to travel across assigned region footprint as needed.
- Comprehension of overall banking policies and procedures to include front line, new account, consumer and business credit transactions.
- Working knowledge of banking regulations and laws.
- Works in cooperation with all line of business partners for the benefit of the company.
- Effectively deals with change, comfortably makes appropriate risk-based decisions based on the knowledge at hand and has the ability to move on if circumstances dictate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or other related areas.
- 10+ years of bank operations and/or branch management experience.
- Extensive travel is required in this position. The individual must provide their own transportation and have the ability to travel daily to branches within the assigned region(s).
