JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Population Research Institute (PRI) welcomes applications for a Proposal and Award Generalist - Post Award. This position will be filled at the Advanced Professional level. The PRI is seeking a detailed-oriented, motivated individual to provide administrative and post-award support on sponsored research awards in a large volume, fast-paced, complex, detailed, and multifaceted environment. This position will report to the Research Project Manager of PRI. Responsibilities: The duties of the Proposal and Award Generalist include but are not limited to the following:
Education and Experience: This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual in this role will frequently use the following software, systems, and applications: Microsoft Office 365 apps and SAP Concur, as well as the following which are specific to Penn State: SIMS (Strategic Information Management System) and SIMBA (System for Integrated Management, Budgeting, and Accounting). Graduation of the Penn State ACOR (Administrative Committee on Research) Certification and Education Series (ACES) or its equivalent is preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills are critical, as is the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and think outside the box. NIH grant experience is highly preferred.
