ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

We are recruiting for an Internal Reporting Manager to join our Accounting/Finance team. In this role, you will play a key role in internal financial reporting, SOX compliance, and technical accounting functions, and will work closely with the accounting and external financial reporting teams. You will drive reporting and technical excellence while supporting the development of practical business processes and solutions while having opportunities to impact many areas of the accounting function and work with a dynamic and growing team.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE

  • Prepare monthly internal financial statement package, including but not limited to the statement of cash flows and statement of stockholders' equity in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare the quarterly and year-to-date basic and diluted EPS in accordance with US GAAP
  • Work closely with the external reporting team to provide SEC reporting support, as needed
  • Maintain and enhance the internal controls over accounting processes and systems in compliance with SOX regulations
  • Maintain a current and appropriate risk and controls matrix
  • Oversee and complete SOC 1 Report reviews for key third party service providers
  • Responsible for supporting the quarterly close process including but not limited to preparing the analysis to assess progress on performance stock units as well as various quarterly system access or similar reviews
  • Responsible for partnering with the tax team to ensure that the preparation of the income tax provision is properly completed in line with SOX requirements and recorded and disclosed in line with US GAAP
  • Participate in implementing process changes and establish best practices
  • Perform regular reviews of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Responsible for researching, resolving, and documenting technical accounting issues as they arise and quarterly technical accounting memos as needed
  • Support the finance team by identifying new accounting transactions that require special consideration and help to ensure they are recorded and documented properly and have sufficient, appropriate, and efficient controls
  • Serve as a key contact with the external and outsourced internal auditors
  • Prepare the 401(k) Plan's annual financial statements in accordance with DOL Regulations, and play an oversight role in the Plan's annual audit
  • Develop and maintain working relationships across departments
  • Assist to varying degrees with ad-hoc projects and/or ongoing accounting processes

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline and a CPA license
  • 7+ years of progressive technical accounting experience, including 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. GAAP, AICPA and SEC financial reporting standards
  • Experience with monitoring SOX compliance and understanding of internal controls
  • Experience writing technical accounting memos
  • Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and ability to summarize conclusions succinctly
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple duties and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

  • Experience implementing a new [accounting] standard, both in terms of financial reporting and internal controls
  • Experience working at or with a large, complex, growing international company in the med-tech and/or manufacturing industry

SALARY

The salary for this position is expected to be between $131,000 and $197,000 will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
