A Brief Overview

The radiochemist will work directly with the medical staff in Nuclear Medicine and is responsible for providing operational support in compliance with PET cGMP, radiation safety program, license commitments and corporate policies related to the manufacture and distribution of positron emitting radiopharmaceuticals for human use to medical care providers. Provides support in aspects including financial, regulatory compliance and customer support.

What You Will Do



  • Delivers operational support for:

    * Production of radiopharmaceuticals

    * Preparation, quality control, and testing of radiopharmaceuticals

    * Dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals

    * Maintaining inventory

    * Ensures compliance with all regulatory commitments including the cGMP, Radiation Safety, and corporate policies and procedures and other applicable Federal, State and Local authorities

    * Responsible for support staff oversight and training

    * Participates and ensures execution of aseptic techniques, including sterility test and pyrogen testing per standard operating procedures

    * Ensures performance of QC procedures using analytical equipment and chemical tests per standard operating procedures

    * Maintains all applicable documents and records

    * Ensures clean, orderly and safe working environment

    * Participates in personnel training and staff development

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
