Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of experience.This position can be hired at any level in our professional career framework, depending on business need at the time of hire.

**International travel may be required. Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available**

Some of your major responsibilities will include:

* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Communications and Tracking Sub-Systems of the Gateway Level 2 Sub-Systems.

* Assess design compliance of the Gateway Level 2 requirements to commercial providers.

* Maintain and update Gateway Level 2 requirements including Verification Requirements and Interface Requirements Documents.

* Track and maintain requirement documents on task schedule.

* Support the Gateway verification activities including verification objectives and procedures, end to end testing development and reviewing Verification Completion Notices (VCNs).

* Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering.

* Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities.

* Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements.

* Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews.

* Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance.

* Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED:

• A BS Engineering degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  
• On location position - situational telework only.
  
• Knowledge and understanding of digital and analog RF communication systems such as RF basics, radio propagation, antennas, and modulation.
  
• Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model based systems engineering.
  
• Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements.
  
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection.
  

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork.
  
• Experience with NASA processes.
  
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
