Role Summary

The staff engineer leads and contributes to integration efforts and HIL testing of embedded software for the EPC (Electric Power Conversion) team. They are responsible for continuously improving the team's technical excellence, discipline, and flexibility to ensure high quality software deliverables, timely integration of software, and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

Integration:

  • Consolidate EPC software interfaces and related functionalities with other ECUs and devices.
  • Integration of EPC software with the manufacturing process.
  • Leverage telemetry and remote debugging tools for field visibility and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate platform software changes into EPC embedded software by interfacing with the platform software team.

Test

  • Develop HIL test cases for controls and software development.
  • Provide development test support for EPC control and software development.
  • Improve test coverage to fulfill software functional and safety-related requirements.
  • Perform regression tests, report bugs, provide debugging support, and provide development validation testing for the team.
  • Upgrade and maintain the HIL test stations and other related lab equipment.

Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of diverse experience in embedded software development, software integration, and testing for electric vehicles.
  • Project management experience with proven results
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and tools for complex software development, including Continuous Testing/Continuous Integration (CT/CI), bug lifecycle management, software release processes, and more.
  • Familiarity with electrical vehicle ECU interfaces and tools
  • Experience with at least one software testing platform, including HIL tests, unit tests, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Candidates: $135,100.00 - $168,900.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
