AR/VR Developer II

SCCI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mid-Level to Senior Computer Simulation Developer to support the Battle Management System (BMS), an innovative DoD program. Responsibilities:

• Providing technical direction and expertise to ensure the overall system design remains flexible and adaptable to change
• Working in a rapid development framework and collaborating with technical teams to deliver high-quality software
• Making key architectural decisions, managing technical risks, and facilitating communication around the system's structure throughout the development process
• Designing visualization systems that can easily accommodate changing requirements and evolving portfolio needs, embracing iterative development in a rapid work environment

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or technical discipline with equivalent experience such as direct hands-on experience with Extended Reality (XR) or Virtual Reality (VR) or a military training software application development background.
• Three (3) years of experience demonstrating the ability to concept, prototype, design, code, and engineer a variety of visualizations that can be used on mobile, desktop or VR platforms;
• Three (3) years of experience demonstrating knowledge of virtual gun weapon system trainers, virtual armament trainers, and virtual sand-table trainers for military application
• Three (3) years demonstrating the use of Unity or Unreal game engine and C#, C++, or Python; as well as knowledge or experience in game engine asset creation.
• Strong understanding of the agile software development lifecycle
• Proficiency with widely used version control systems, such as Git
• Knowledge of tools like Jenkins, GitLab
• Debugging and performance optimization skills
• Ability to support tasking for multiple projects
• Experience in conducting and participating in code reviews
