Overview / Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Part 65 Trainer to lead and manage our Partner Program, a specialized training initiative designed to prepare individuals for FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. This position is responsible for program oversight, instruction, participant recruitment, and coordination with military and industry partners to ensure successful student outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

Program Management & Instruction

  • Teach the 6-week Partner Program, which includes:
    • 2-week material preparation and career development course.
    • 4-week A&P Prep Course and FAA licensure exams.
    • Successful participants will earn an FAA A&P license and a Partner Program Certificate of Completion.
  • Ensure the program meets key performance metrics, including:
    • 90% placement rate within 90 days of completion.
    • 100% job interview referral rate.
    • 90% course completion rate.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Institute and industry partners to refine and enhance the Partner Program curriculum.

Program Participant Recruitment & Management

  • Recruit and screen applicants, in conjunction with Manufacturing Institute and other college resources
  • Help manage all student applications, including SkillBridge packets, Commander approvals, and enrollment documentation in conjunction with other college resources
Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or other equivalent

Required/Preferred Experience:

  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate, required.
  • Five years of aviation related experience, required.
  • Previous experience with Part 65, preferred.
  • Base access is highly preferred.
  • Previous teaching or training experience in adult education, preferred.
  • Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge or ability to learn the assessment respiratory system (WIDS)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently
  • Assess situations rapidly and make logical decisions in a timely manner
  • Analyze facts and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
