POSITION SUMMARY: The Ophthalmic Photographer performs all of the photography and angiography for the department of Ophthalmology. The department is currently utilizing digital imaging systems, so a strong background and base knowledge in digital file handling is a must. Participates in the care of patients in a clinical setting by performing various ophthalmic examinations; scheduling appointments and maintaining patient medical records. Responsibilities also include organizing and prioritizing work to ensure completion in a timely manner. Photographers report directly to the ophthalmic technician supervisor. Must be able to effectively troubleshoot and proficiently perform the following key devices within six months: Optos fundus camera DRS fundus camera Heidelberg OCT Zeiss OCT Pentacam Must adhere to all of BMC's RESPECT behavioral standards.
