("Fortinet", traded as FTNT) a prominent cybersecurity firm in Silicon Valley, invites applications for the Legal & Corporate Development Intern position as part of our Early Talent Program for the summer of 2025. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The successful candidate will gain valuable in-house legal and business experience by collaborating with a global team of seasoned attorneys and professionals on various legal matters. The internship will run from approximately late May to early August (with some flexibility on dates) and is a full-time role. The format is in person attendance at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Collaborate with Legal and Corporate Development teams on commercial contracts, data-privacy, intellectual property, compliance, government relations, strategic alliances, M&A activities, litigation, and other projects as required.
  • Review contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct legal research and contribute to writing initiatives.
  • Organize and manage contract filing systems.



ABOUT YOU:



  • Adaptable and responsive, capable of multitasking and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Highly organized, motivated, detail-oriented team player; confident working autonomously and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Articulate and persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, displaying enthusiasm for addressing a wide range of legal issues and a strong interest in law and technology; adept at Legal research and analysis



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Currently enrolled in a program or field of study with an interest in law, paralegal students and/or other related areas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe PDF. Experience with Microsoft Teams is a plus.

Wage ranges are determined by various factors, including job type and level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, with exact salary offers based on the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
