Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Chicago, IL, Addison, TX, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Work as the Application Manager for a highly visible and mission critical healthcare application
- Assist a Release Train Engineer to manage assignments, prioritize deliverables, and coordinate risk remediation across multiple applications and environments while applying strong leadership and direction to ensure all initiative and client commitments are met on time
- Take ownership for all AIT, RISE, ADSM, etc. compliance and risk deliverables associated with this application
- Work closely with the Line of Business (LOB), vendors, and other technology teams to ensure that the deliverables are assigned and committed to for delivery
- Serve as an environment coordinator, working with Senior Technology Managers, a Release Train Engineer, other Feature Leads across several Agile teams, CTO partners, and Level 2 production support groups to ensure consistency in the use of the environments during patching, upgrade activities, application changes and releases
- Design and oversee the implementation of software applications, ensure they meet the organization's technical standards and business objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders, analyze requirements, and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the development process
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Design integration strategies for various systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability
Requirements:
- 5-7 years Midrange programming/technical experience (e.g., Java, SQL development, Oracle, Exadata, LINUX, RHEL, server administration)
- Solid application management, deployment and coordination understanding and experience in meeting deliverables on time and within budget
- Experience with Technical Project Management
- Experience with web applications
- Strong understanding of SDLC
- Strong experience in coordinating the deployment of changes through non-production and production environments
- Release and deployment planning and execution experience
- Experience in working with vendor applications where the vendors build, enhance, maintain the applications
- Experience with planning and implementing software and hardware changes and patches
- Proven work in agile environment within a well-defined Software Engineering or Delivery role
- Positive and entrepreneurial 'can do' attitude with desire to make positive impact
- Proven strong collaboration and organizational skills in leading within a matrix-ed work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and reporting skills
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
- Understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and SOA
- Core Java
- Oracle Exadata
Desired skills:
- Strong SQL optimization and improvement skills
- Knowledge of Healthcare Claims processing
- Knowledge of EDI X12 Stardards and file formats
- Experience with Permit to Send/Receive and Permit to Operate process
- Experience in promoting and enhancing the practice of agile methodology
- Management or team lead experience
- Environment Management, Release Management experience
Pay Range: $53.52-$61.52
