About the Role:
Join an agile highly motivated team of engineers responsible for the development and implementation of emerging autonomous technology for use in ground combat vehicles. The function of this position is to support the development of advanced autonomous capabilities across the domains of mobility, situational awareness, reconnaissance, human-machine integration, and operational mission planning & execution. Product teams work together using the latest advances in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Model Based Systems Engineering to bring these concepts to reality.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
  • Apply computer science, engineering, security, and mathematical analysis in the application of software applications, including immersive and performant virtual reality simulations in the Unity 3D engine.
  • You will work within an interdisciplinary team of professionals and play a key role in carrying out vehicle development from conception to execution.
  • Your work will include Unity3D VR, Unity3D Simulations, as well as other applications.
  • Develop documentation and review to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with contract requirements. Specifically, checkpoint and design milestone artifacts and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs).
  • Participate in internal and customer demonstrations.
  • Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and assess solutions to defects.
  • Participate in design and integration troubleshooting/Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem report/test incident resolution for production, development, test, or modification projects.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications / What you must have:
    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Game Programming, Software Engineering or related engineering major.
    • Masters Degree a plus
    • 1-3 years of applicable experience required, fewer years will be considered with an advanced degree.
    • Experience with integrating 3D models required
    • Strong software development skills in C#, C++ and Object Oriented Design
    • Must have experience with and be proficiency with Linux(Ubuntu) and windows development environments
    • Be comfortable supporting integration issues in a lab and on a vehicle
    • This role will require the candidate to work well in a team environment as well as individual contributor.
    • Be able to multi-task on simultaneous development projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and mission scope
    • Have a proactive attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people skills required.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with development of virtual reality environments
    • Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW and GPU programming
    • Experience in design, development and integration of military vehicles a plus.
    • Experience with defense department processes and documentation standards
    • Familiar with Agile development methodology


    Additional Information
    • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
    • This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, pass through hatches and work around military vehicles. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
    • Limited travel maybe required including foreign travel if needed.
    • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
