The Vice President of Business Optimization is a senior position within Datavant's Provider Services organization that focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of a company's operations, processes, and strategies to drive business growth and profitability. The Vice President of Business Optimization will be required to manage BPO partner relationships to ensure we have the highest quality talent at the lowest cost, perform cross-departmental collaboration with our product team to build enhancements for the purpose of productivity and quality improvements, and focus on strategic planning to align our operations with the overall company goals.

Duties and responsibilities



  • BPO Leadership

    • Oversee and manage the end-to-end processes involved in the business process outsourcing operations for our Provider team which includes both the transitioning of work and maintaining high-quality, high-reliability, low-cost ongoing operations.
    • Define the interface with our outsourcing partners: ensure that the outsourcing partners and internal teams work efficiently and effectively to meet business objectives and deliver high-quality services.
    • Identify outsourcing opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
    • Ensure continuous improvement in outsourced processes and implement best practices.


  • Optimization of Operations

    • Work with product and operations leaders to identify process inefficiencies and program manage improvements to achieve operational targets, enhance service delivery and drive financial results.
    • Partner with training and development teams to implement plans that will close the gap on staff training needs and reduce quality issues to achieve KPI's.
    • Own the development and implementation of new service standards, procedures, and policies.


  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Define KPI metrics that are critical to overall performance
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team on operational performance, issues, and risks, and present them to senior management.
  • Take corrective actions as needed to resolve performance gaps or issues with vendors.
  • Customer Feedback Management:

    • Work with commercial to co-design NPS surveys to ensure they yield valuable operational insight.
    • Then monitor and analyze customer feedback (NPS) to identify patterns that require corrective action.
    • Engage with frontline employees to share insights and suggestions based on analytics and customer feedback.


  • Training and Education:

    • Ensure seamless service delivery and consistent customer experiences are embedded in our training and education programs.
    • Assist our Training team in the creation of training programs to improve service quality, compliance, and focusing on customer interaction skills.




Qualifications



  • 10 plus years of relevant operations experience, healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Presentation experience for senior/executive management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

The estimated salary range for this role is $197,000-$285,000 plus applicable bonus.
