Business Intelligence Developer

What you will be doing:

This position is responsible for creating PowerBI reports, integrating with Microsoft Fabric, developing ETL jobs for reporting, and creating advanced SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. The core requirements include providing Business Intelligence/Analytics development for both existing and new/prototype applications, while collaborating daily business units on new and existing initiatives.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Proficient in using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to build Data Integration and Workflow solutions, including Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for reporting applications.

  • Highly proficient in using T-SQL to develop complex stored procedures and triggers.

  • Creating interactive data analysis and data visualization components using PowerBI, performing PowerBI integrations with Microsoft Fabric, and utilizing Power Query.

  • Taking charge of the end-to-end development of reporting solutions.

  • Occasional travel to conferences and business meetings

This position will get direction from departmental lead. They have full latitude for independent judgment when applying skills and problem-solving capabilities, with input and minimal oversight required by supervisor. They update their job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art business intelligence tools, staying informed of industry trends, development techniques, and end user information consumption; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.

Development
* Design and develop reports and dashboard utilizing PowerBi and PowerQuery.
* Requirement gathering
* Data Modeling

* ETL for reporting

* Documenting analysis, data/ETL pipelines and business process descriptions

Responsibility #2 - 25%

Configuration and Administration
* Configuring and setting governance on PowerBI Platform

* Data Source Configuration and Maintenance

* Manage User and User Groups

Responsibility #3 - 30%

Business Intelligence

  • Manage the design, development, and deployment of Business Intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI stack, and manage the installation, configuration, and management of all related components.

  • Brainstorm broad concepts and ideas for various reporting designs, both individually and with the team, and translate them into actionable, tangible objectives.

  • Estimate time frames to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 2 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

Working Conditions: Remote Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $64,000 - $118,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
