Description

Columbia Psychiatry is a world-renowned center of excellence in patient care across three partner institutions. Across all of these settings, our mission is to provide state-of-the-art, comprehensive care to help our patients achieve their goals. Office-based care for adults, children, and adolescents is provided through the ColumbiaDoctors faculty practice and includes traditional clinic-based care and intensive outpatient treatment programs. Acute and emergency care is provided via our hospital-based partner NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia Campus. Finally, our community-based services for patients with more severe mental illness are provided through our partnership with the New York State Psychiatric Institute.

This is an exciting new position leading a newly established comprehensive SUD program that includes inpatient consultation and management of pts with SUD as well as outpatient practices in hospital and faculty practice settings.

* Oversee recruitment of multidisciplinary clinical team

* establish clinical best practices and standards of care

* oversee integration of training and education

* oversee integration of inpatient and outpatient services across the clinical enterprise

* collaborate on professional development of clinical team

* collaborate on clinical research development

* provide direct clinical care

* provide clinical supervision to faculty and trainees

This role includes opportunities for additional compensation aligned with the department's comprehensive compensation plan.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:



  • MD
  • Assistant Professor or higher
  • Board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction psychiatry
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical practice in addiction psychiatry
  • Bi-lingual preferred
