Job Description: AWS Cloud -Technical Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite - No Remote)

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and provide tailored cloud solutions.
  • Lead a team of cloud engineers and architects to design, implement, and manage AWS cloud solutions.
  • Determine the approach and mechanisms for the delivery
  • Ensure the implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud architectures by the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare Plan with key milestones, highlight risk, issues and opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team for AWS migrations & complex AWS platform implementations.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, architecture, and best practices.
  • Executive Presentation of Program Progress & Challenges.
  • Manage the team interdependencies
  • Strong skills working with multi-vendor environments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex cloud projects.
  • Stay updated on the latest AWS services and industry trends to drive innovation in cloud solutions.
  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000-130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
