The Chief Data Officer (CDO) at City of Hope will oversee the organization's data strategy, governance, and analytics to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The CDO will play a key role in leveraging data as a strategic asset, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Chief Data Officer is responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from collection and storage to analysis and disposal.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Data management: Establishing standards, procedures, and controls to ensure data quality, accuracy, and protection.
  • Data analysis: Leading data analytics and building models for production.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, privacy, and security across all systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, and operational teams to enhance data integration, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to improve patient care and operational performance.
  • Foster a culture of data literacy across the organization, providing training and support to staff at all levels.
  • Monitor and report on data initiatives' performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting data management and analytics.
  • Build and lead a high-performing data team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Act as a key advisor to the leadership team on data-related strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Ten years' experience in a Healthcare or similarly complex information technology environment.
  • A demonstrated track record of focus on the end-user.
