The Chief Product Officer will drive delivery of our ever-growing suite of IT Products and Services across the enterprise. This position will be responsible for the end-to-end identification, development and implementation of technology solutions at City of Hope. Working with cross-departmental leaders.

Chief Product Officer will wrangle the requirements necessary to assist the Engineering and IT Operations teams in building high-quality and dependable products that improve operations, drive growth and enhance the decision-making capabilities of City of Hope across all domains.

The Chief Product Officer provides leadership, vision, planning and management to their product area. They will support and deliver the product vision that supports Digital Experience goals. They will have the opportunity to drive innovation and directly impact the Patient and Workforce digital experiences.

The ideal candidate for this role has an exemplary track record of leading product teams in healthcare and possesses exceptional product management skills and a proven track record of driving customer-led product innovation and growth. The ideal candidate for this role must be a passionate, team-oriented problem solver who approaches the role with a general manager mentality, waking up every day thinking about the strategy, vision, and growth of our healthcare business. The candidate should possess high emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and ability to make difficult decisions considering all factors..

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable IT solutions.
  • Identify Product Opportunities: Observe the operational and analytics landscape and identify areas where new technology solutions would have material positive impacts.
  • Lead Product Development Strategy: For technology related items, develop and execute a Product roadmap, collaborating with business stakeholders and IT resources to define achievable product offerings and milestones.
  • Implement/Grow Best Practices: From work intake to change management to implantation, apply Product Development best practices to ensure high quality delivery of all IT offerings.
  • Responsible for development, maintenance, and communication of technology architecture standards and lead the organization in developing and sustaining a culture of customer service providing a high-quality end-user experience.
  • Deliver the Goods: Working closely with the IT Engineering and Operations, coordinate the development and deployment of new IT products and services.
  • Coordinate identification of architectural solutions and associated implications with Business and Enterprise Architecture counterparts, ensure IT solutions are within the guardrails of Enterprise Architecture.
  • Lead ideation of new capabilities, and design coherent and holistic tech solutions to support business needs; drive Proof-of-concept initiatives as needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for business to effectively leverage technology and be a technical champion and advocate for the optimization of cloud solutions needed to support our growth and financial goals.
  • Lead the review and design concepts for new data systems, drive development and documentation of technical designs for the solution implementation.
  • Support IT Portfolio Lead and Product teams in business engagement, provide perspective on solution alternatives and potential costs based on strategic understanding of business needs.
  • Support creation of the portfolio strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Ten years' experience in a Healthcare or similarly complex information technology environment..
  • A demonstrated track record of focus on the end-user.
