SUMMARY: The food service worker has regular contact with patients, and employees. Assists with the preparation, receipt, setup, and cleanup of all food service activities at RMC and off-site facilities as may be necessary and feasible.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Knowledge of the preparation, service, and storage of foodstuffs. Knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements of a food service environment.

HOURS: Monday- Friday 7:00AM- 3:30PM


Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one-year experience food preparation in a cafeteria setting.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Food Handler Card by the Department of Public Health required. Must be obtained from a Riverside County approved program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing
the job's purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the
job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Note: (other
duties may be assigned, deleted or changed at any time, at the discretion of management, formally, or
informally, either verbally or in writing).
1. Cleanup kitchen, physician lounges, once the lunch hour has ended.
2. Be available to work evenings and weekends, when and where needed.
3. Deal with customers and answer phones in a pleasant and courteous manner.
4. Must be able to operate a cash register and count and handle U.S. currency.
5. Must have ability to prepare food safely and in accordance with all applicable governing laws
associated with food service operations.
6. Store food supplies and utensils in storage areas.
7. Clean kitchen, storage and areas by sweeping, and mopping floors. Wash appliances, utensil
or operate dishwasher and empties garbage.
