Senior Information Systems Manager - Technology Support Services

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Information Systems Manager that will provide leadership of our service delivery operations that support team members and construction projects across the company.

Responsible to lead service desk operations, IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, and coordination of technology needs for our construction project sites with industry-leading solutions and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead overall service management of IT support services for the company
  • Established 5-member service desk supporting 8,000+ technology users
  • Established IT Service Management practices following ITIL best practices
  • Established proactive support and coordination of technology services for our construction project teams
  • Establish metrics to proactively identify areas of improvement and measure progress
  • Create, justify, and promote investments in support services capabilities to advance our team member experience across the company in alignment with department and company goals
  • Champion learnings and best practices for the use of common IT tools and technologies
  • Lead engagement with business leaders on upcoming IT changes through internal knowledge sharing activities
  • Coordinate with service delivery peers across departments to drive best-in-class service and support across functions
  • Lead the planning and execution of service support plans for major projects, technology changes, and IT system implementations
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Introduce innovative IT technologies & solutions that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity
  • Partner with Operating Groups to enable and support their innovation needs
  • Develop a staff that takes ownership for resolving problems and embraces root cause analysis, quick problem resolution, and customer service
  • Determine staffing requirements; interview and hires personnel as appropriate
  • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience and at least five years in leading IT operational and/or service delivery functions
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT or related leadership experience including multiple teams
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of ITIL, ITSM, ServiceNow, or other related methodologies applicable to IT Service Management
  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work with Business to influence and effect change to achieve common goals
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business, and business concepts to technologists. The candidate should be able to "sell" ideas and processes internally at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships from executive sponsors to end users
  • Be detail oriented, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to be a strong problem solver and decision maker with the courage and conviction to follow through on decisions, mediate conflict, and drive change
  • Strong capability on execution to effectively carry out plans and achieve goals
  • Experience with service readiness and project implementation planning
  • Experience with construction, property management, engineering, or business operations preferred

The base pay range for this role is $146,200 - $219,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
