KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Communicate, facilitate and champion HR programs and initiatives at the division level
  • Assist the HR Manager with the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and assists employees and leaders with interpretation
  • Work with the HR team to facilitate the performance management process
  • Partner with leaders to manage and resolve employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance issues
  • Process new employee set-ups, changes, and terminations within the HR system
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job postings to onboarding
  • Source candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals
  • Develop a keen understanding of the requirements for each role
  • Conduct initial screenings to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the organization
  • Champion the employer brand and enhance the candidate experience through thoughtful engagement and communication
  • Responsible for pre-qualifying final candidates for hire
  • Partner with the HR team to promote the company's internship and apprenticeship programs
  • Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding
  • Administer benefits programs and answer employee inquiries
  • Support training and development initiatives
  • Assist in HR reporting and analytics to aid in decision-making
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the annual affirmative action program for assigned divisions, sharing goals and expectations of supervisors to ensure progress towards goals.
  • Champion the company's philanthropic efforts by leading the HIW Helps program, ultimately serving as the steering committee chairperson
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive personal presence
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure and meeting deadlines


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role
  • Human Resources certification a plus
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and video conferencing.

Work is of a general office nature; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see; required to use arms and hands to reach and handle; typing on computer keyboard and using phone required. Ability to read, understand, and to communicate information and ideas clearly in writing and orally is required. May occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
