Summary:

The HR Business Partner will provide thought leadership and guidance to Trident leaders on various HR programs, policies, and processes. We are looking for an emerging HR leader who can act as a strategic partner for all groups and levels of the organization. This role will operate with a strategic lens but must also be willing to dig in with teams and individuals to empower our people, diagnose issues, provide support, and drive positive and productive outcomes.

At Trident, our HR Business Partners will have the unique opportunity to develop targeted subject matter expertise across the HR function through a rotational assignment methodology. This approach will provide you with the opportunity to lead large and small projects in the areas you're most passionate about from leadership development to compensation, change leadership, organizational design, coaching, and many more. Our goal for HR Business partners is to broaden and deepen their business leadership and HR acumen.

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in Ballard, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Tridents leaders to understand the needs, goals, and challenges of their teams/functions and provide perspective on how to successfully align people and business strategies, implement solutions, and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Build manager capability by coaching managers through challenging employee and organizational issues.
  • Partner with business leaders to encourage innovation and continuous improvement in all people related issues.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure viable succession plans are in place for all key positions.
  • Engage in difficult conversations, giving and receiving constructive feedback with professionalism and candor
  • Partners with Compensation, Benefits and TA as appropriate
  • Adeptly balance business needs, goals, and values with employee advocacy.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new HR processes to grow the business and improve efficiency

This is an exempt (salaried) position with an annualized salaryrangeof $100,000to $155,000.

Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Full time employees may be eligible for discretionary/performance-based incentives, medical, dental and vision insurance plans, optional HRA/HSA, telemedicine, employee assistance and wellness programs, long-term disability, basic life and AD&D, and 401(k) with a company match, paid time off, 10 paid holidays each year, and paid parental leave. For full-time employees, the initial paid time off benefit starts at 20 days per year, adjusted commensurate with relevant experience. Commuter and transit programs are also available.

Compensation will be reviewed based on geographical location depending on where applicant will be working. New hires are typically offered a starting salary between minimum and midpoint, however, this could be slightly higher based on experience, internal equity, and market.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of 5 years of HR Business Partner/Generalist experience
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related area, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of HRIS, Applicant Tracking systems
  • Experience with core HR domains, including performance management, organizational design, talent management, compensation and employee relations
  • Experience working closely with and coaching senior business leaders

Preferred education and experience

  • Human Resources Certification (SHRM, SCP or SPHR)
  • Knowledge of OFCCP requirements
  • Experience working in multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated project management and change management experience and ability to drive programs independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, adapt to change, and flex when needed to pitch in on the day-to-day

Work environment:

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote work on Monday and Friday and in-office in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
