Solution Architect IV

Position Summary:

We are looking for a senior Solution Architect who is experienced in advising government senior leadership on technology adaption strategies and providing technical direction for enterprise-level organizations. ; Has designed and delivered multiple Machine Learning Solutions to Federal Government Agencies, provided enterprise Cloud Solutions, Architecture, and Migration (AWS GovCloud/Azure) solutions for federal agencies; able to lead and direct programs providing support for managing big data platforms, system architecture, system engineering, system integration, research and development, and information assurance; has extensive experience in developing technical solutions across multiple technical disciplines (Software, Enterprise IT, Networking, and Cyber Security) utilizing creativity and state of the art technologies.

Qualified candidates must have or can attain a Public Trust clearance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accountable for overall program technology implementation.
• Lead the design of multi-discipline system solution architecture that meets business and technical requirements. Setup program technical standards, guideline and reference implementation.
• Conduct market research, evaluate technologies and vendor products, make recommendations that fit the needs of the customer in a cost-effective way.
• Lead the implementation Proof-Of-Concept (POC) on key technologies.
• Produce system design artifacts and required technical documents following customer's SDLC process.
• Represent the program, present the solution architecture and technical implementation to broader customer business and IT community. Participate in cross-program IT governance committee.
• Work closely with the CTO and other technical leadership team members, drive innovation and new capabilities in Precise.
• Conduct market research and evaluation on latest infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to server, storage, network, virtual machine, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), Cloud (IaaS, Paas), containerization, disaster recovery, etc.
• Produce formal decision analysis and recommendation document on infrastructure technologies to be adopted at the customer data center.
• Implement Proof-Of-Concept (POC) on key infrastructure technologies.
• Design system architecture and technical implementation plan.
• Support and advise on application assessment, migration, and modernization.
• Evaluate cloud vendor offerings. Implement cloud pilots. Participate in cloud implementation design and migration planning.
• Assist in producing documentation and other deliverables that meet customer requirements.
• Participate in other cross-function design, development activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years of professional experience; or 8+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Extensive experience in Emerging Technology Adoption, and Machine Learning Solutions.
• Experience in software development, solution architecture, system integration, information assurance.
• Deep understanding and working experience in server, storage, network, virtual machines, VDI, security controls.
• Good understanding and working experience in cloud technologies from one or more leading cloud vendors.
• Expertise working with Unix/Linux platforms and scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python and Perl.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, enterprise-class applications based on Linux and Windows platforms on-premises or in the cloud.
• Knowledge of application and database servers.
• Knowledge and experience with AWS, GCP and Azure cloud technologies and services in commercial and GovCloud environments.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.
• Hold a current/active AWS Certified Solution Architect or equivalent certification.
