We're actively seeking a talented Sr Business Architect - Corporate Systems to join our Pacific Life Technology Architecture in Newport Beach, CA.
This role is hybrid or 100% onsite. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office. As a Sr Business Architect assigned to Corporate functions, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by providing architecture guidance and direction to value streams in corporate functions such as HR, Finance, Investments etc. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 10 people in the corporate division. Your colleagues will include Architects and fellow technology professionals. How you'll help move us forward:
- Responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the efforts of the architecture of a value stream and its products
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to prioritize features and requirements based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility
- Align value stream business architecture (value streams, journeys, value stream products, business capabilities) with Pacific Life's business strategy, ensuring that business outcomes are achievable and measurable
- Develop collateral describing the architectural components of a value stream and its products, critical connection points and linkage to the future state value stream architecture
- Translate product features into required Pacific Life technology platforms and patterns to be used by the value stream product. Assist in understanding technical fit for value stream outcomes.
- Responsible for identification of architectural risks and works with value stream owners, program managers, software vendors and division architects to create and implement mitigation plans
- Responsible for review of value stream epics and features and ensuring that the value stream architecture supports those features
- Participates in value stream product development, assuring compliance with reference architectures,standards, and guardrails
- Align to a product roadmap that outlines the planned features, enhancements, and releases over time, and aligns with the organization's strategic priorities
The experience you bring:
- 8+ years experience as an architect
- Historical focus on multiple architecture domains
- Concentration in business architecture
Knowledge:
- Expert within the business components of the assigned value stream
