The Red Lion Team is seeking a Sr Manager, Maintenance on First (1st) shift.

Summary:

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) | Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield | Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) | Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems | Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures



Major Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

    Manages a crew performing routine preventive maintenance and safety inspection operations for a plant's mechanical equipment, control systems or power distribution systems.
  • Follows a daily and weekly schedule to effectively assign maintenance and repair tasks and may use a work order system to track work orders.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance, repair, inspection, and calibration processes to identify wear, damage, or leaks, replace filters or belts, or apply lubrication to mechanical devices.
  • Selects, schedules, and coordinates vendors and outside service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
  • Maintains a replacement and spare part inventory at required levels.
  • Responsible for training and development of staff, including: estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Ensures all work and material handling follow established safety procedures and regulations.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.


Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • 7-8 years' experience
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 25% travel likely.
