Position Overview

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join a dynamic team passionate about making a difference in the world of AGVs and AMRs. As an Application Engineer, you will be part of the North America Sales Team and report directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The mission of this position is to support the Sales team in North America by providing comprehensive training, consulting, and support services. Additionally, this position will conduct testing and evaluation of new technologies requested by our partners.

LOCATION/Travel

This role can be performed remotely within the United States, (preferably in Easter or Central Time zone and does require you to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate closely with the Sales team to understand partners' needs, define potential solutions, provide onsite or remote assistance, develop and deliver e-learning modules, and educate partners on Kollmorgen's solutions.

• Successful Implementation of Solutions: Install, develop, and test automation solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and work with partners as well as our Engineering teams to define potential solutions.

• Product Knowledge and Expertise: Become a product expert, maintain a network of contacts, and stay updated on and test new product releases.

• Team Performance and Collaboration: Participate in daily meetings, prioritize tasks with team members, and foster a culture of openness and collaboration. Support Engineering teams in developing solutions, testing, validation procedures, documentation, etc.

• Effective Onsite Support: Travel domestically and internationally to support partners and provide effective onsite support.

• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent.

• 2+ years of working experience within a relevant field.

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• Basic knowledge of any high-level programming language.

• Commitment to exceeding customer needs.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times.

• Willingness to be a "hands-on" engineer.

• Enthusiasm and drive to achieve top performance.

• Competitive mindset to stay ahead in the industry.

• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of C#, C, C++, or PLC programming.

• Experience in customer interactions in previous roles.

Additional Information

• Salary Range: $75,000 USD - $95,000 USD. The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
