Your Role at Baxter

As a Senior Project Manager in the UCAN Fulfillment, you will help define the UCAN Fulfillment function's direction by assisting in the identification, development and execution of strategic initiatives, including Transportation, Third Party Logistics (3PL), Warehouse and Value Improvement Projects (VIPs). Overall, this visible regional position will require you to work on complex projects and provide actionable recommendations while building strong relationship across Baxter. You will provide thought leadership, research and analytical support on cross-functional teams that identify, evaluate and analyze critical strategic priorities, including 3PL Analytics, legacy Hillrom value capture, etc. as they relate and impact the UCAN Fulfillment Region.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the development of the UCAN Fulfillment strategic initiatives (including $26 Million VIP delivery by 2023), and Planning process in collaboration with regional leaders in Fulfillment and Planning, Business Units, Regions and Functions

  • Collaborate with ISC leaders to identify, analyze, and accelerate strategies for value improvement and other projects of significance for UCAN Fulfillment including sizing and assessing opportunities, identifying the risks/benefits, and defining action plans

  • Driving analytics, managing projects, and delivering and supporting presentations

  • Drive strategy and execution on a wide range of projects including Transportation, Third Party Logistics (3PL), Warehouse and Value Improvement Projects (VIPs)

  • Work with cross functional partners to ensure successful execution of key projects, while continually identifying opportunities for ongoing program improvements and enhancements

  • Prioritize and manage key projects (up to $10M annual savings, derive insight from analyses, and develop rigorous recommendations

  • Drive collaboration and quality execution of key cross-functional projects

  • Influence stakeholders to adopt new ideas, projects and / or approaches.

  • Solve high-impact problems and develop actionable solutions for the most challenging issues facing the company, with an end-to-end focus

  • Identify future growth opportunities for the organization, with particular attention to the capabilities needed to operationalize and capture value from these areas

  • Provide thought partnership to business partners on a broad range of business-critical topics

  • Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; MBA or MS a plus.

  • 7 or more years of business experience working in and leading cross functional teams

  • 5+ year of Project Management experience

  • Project Management certification preferred

  • -10 years of business strategy, planning, analytics, and operations experience

  • Proven track record of collaborating with functional leads to solve complex business problems and presenting solutions to leadership

  • Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data, set actionable goals and drive metrics and execution

  • Structured problem solver with a bend towards fast execution & iteration

  • Management consulting experience a plus

  • In-depth knowledge in one or more of the following Integrated Supply chain functions is needed to guide development project: Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Planning and/or Fulfillment.

  • Problem solving skills, ability to deal with complex and ambiguous business problems and develop concrete integrated supply chain and business recommendations

  • Critical thinking skills, ability to constructively challenge ideas and assumptions

  • Leadership and influencing skills, ability to successfully complete projects in a highly matrixed, consensus-driven organization

  • Oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and can work with an appreciable amount of latitude.

  • Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management and employees within the company.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel.

  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Top-tier consulting firm experience strongly preferred

  • Experience in large scale, global medical device manufacturing network is highly preferred

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, healthcare services and/or specialty pharmacy service preferred

  • PMP and Scrum Master Certifications preferred

  • Flexible and adaptable - able to work in ambiguous situations and to bring clarity to the process

  • Forward looking with a holistic approach.

  • Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with and through others.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a long-term incentive .
