Job Summary The Specialty Pharmacy Technician II is an experienced pharmacy technician and will serve as a support to all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician workflow, and as a role model to the pharmacy team. Job duties include all functions of the Specialty Pharmacy Technician I, with additional responsibilities such as: directing workflow, handling patient concerns or complaints, serving as a subject matter expert within different areas of the pharmacy, training and/or being a resource for fellow employees, inventory management, and troubleshooting IT or system-related issues Third party online adjudication experience, pharmacy billing experience, outpatient pharmacy or long term care experience, and Knowledge of patient financial assistance programs preferred. Specialty, retail outpatient, long term care, or mail order pharmacy experience preferred PTCB Certification required. Registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required.
