Facility Support - 5x2 Shift- Lake Charles, LA

Job Description:

The Facility Support Personnel strives to maintain a clean and orderly base. Areas to maintain include but are not limited to maintenance shops, break areas, the hanger and/or other areas outside.
Duties include but are not limited to
* Stocking consumable cabinets and performing shelf life monthly inspections;
* Operate the powered floor cleaner and work with maintenance to keep the hangar floors clean and professional;
* Vacuum entry mats and keep walk ways clean and free of obstacles and hazards;
* Help keep maintenance stands, tool boxes, and work surfaces clean;
* Keep hangar water jugs clean and make Gatorade on a daily basis during summer months;
* Clean blast shop area and maintain the equipment located in it;
* Enter equipment and facility deficiencies in company reporting system;
* Other duties as assigned by Repair Station Manager and Lead AMTs;

Qualifications
* A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

* Currently enrolled in an Aviation Maintenance program at an accredited school

* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
* Ability to cooperate with co-workers and facility staff.
* Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
* Must be able to be at work as scheduled and on time
* Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
