Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Technical Communicator in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Technical Communicator is responsible for providing technical support to all internal parts and service departments, serving as a product liaison between Carter Machinery and Caterpillar, and the internal go-to resource for Carter personnel. In addition, the Technical Communicator supports external customer technical support needs through CarterAssist platforms. Seeking candidates with in-depth industry product knowledge and experience. Caterpillar, or related equipment industry, service operations background preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
Requirements for the Technical Communicator position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Technical Communicator job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
